An experimental 'Tribal' piece created for the Coconut Blues Club Challenge (April 2011). A musical collage of keyboard generated sounds, drum beats, bass guitar, and guitar. All given a psychedelic flavoured mix.

Story behind the song
I have attempted to create a piece that gives the illusion of 'flying' in the 'Spirit world' and in other dimensions, like a Shamen from an ancient tribe.
Lyrics
The story behind the piece . . . A moment or two after swallowing the magic potion offered by the Shaman, you begin to feel your mind leave your body and the Great Plains far below. You're now soaring above as an Eagle. Minute details down on the prairie are all seen in bright sharp focus. Spirits of long fallen Indian Braves ride past on black and white dappled ponies. Suddenly, as if a page has been turned in a picture book, you find yourself looking down from a sky of midnight blue, sparkling with the light from thousands of diamond like stars. Silouetted against the horizon, a camel train of Bedouin traders moves into view. This is a land of drifting sand dunes and ancient ruins. You feel a tear in the fabric of time and space and once again you find yourself back on the Great Plains and hear the beat of Indain tribal drums.

This is a very interesting psychedelic trip with surprises everywhere. Enjoyed it very much. And, like the title says, we are in the past and in modern times at the same time. Good job!

Brilliant!! Fantastic sound..love the percussion and bass, it's got a real kick to it that you feel through the seat of your pants! So difficult to get this quality with digital recordings, but this is very rich, warm and powerful. Very mysterious vibe, excellent choice of sounds/instruments, superb arrangement/changes - a top notch job all round.

Just checking out some of the "Tribal" challenge tunes yes yes...........ancient and yet very modern,very cool mix of sound,texture and color!!! Awesome!!!

Great percussion and fascinating backing details behind really inventive and exciting guitar work - complex, psychedelic and captivating. Not sure what was in that "magic potion" ..... :D
