Songwriter, home recordist, and occassional performer. I write songs intended primarily for bikers who have either found Jesus or need to. For those that see
I've been a songwriter from the moment I picked up my first guitar. Over the years I've developed some skills on the keyboard as well which I use extensively in my home recording studio. I see myself more as a songwriter and session recorder than performer, though I do occassionally perform. Although I've written conventional and traditional material for most of my life, I gave up on it several years ago, primarily because there was nothing I found inspiring. Then I let Jesus come into my life and the inspiration began flowing like a river once again. I believe this is because God has a new mission for me, and that is to reach out and minister, through my music, to those in dire need of his saving grace. My audience is more likely to have tatoos and a motorcycle than a nice haircut and a minivan. This is for the folks who felt life rejected them from the beginning, so they have rejected life...but in doing so, they rejected the only thing in life that could save them from their misery. As one of the pastors from North Carolina's Freedom Riders stated to me, you can't ride free if you don't know what real freedom is, and only Jesus can give you that kind of freedom. I don't think you have to own a bike to have a biker mindset and to relate to this music. This music is for anyone who has felt beaten by life. Those who have tried all the worldly avenues to try and fill the hole in their hearts, but have found nothing but more misery and pain. For the hopeless in search of hope. And for those that have found Jesus and desperately hold onto that precious gift because they know, better than anyone else, how miserable life can be without it.

Story behind the song
Inspired by the cards we give people we help on our Bronson Projects that say "Life is hard, why go it alone?"
Lyrics
Every Beat of My Heart © 2011, D. George Verse 1 When I’m beaten down, and I need lifting up When I’ve been jerked around and think I’ve had enough He’s always been there, to get me through each day. When the problems are big, but the answers are few And I get confused about the things I should do. He gives me answers, so I can find my way. When troubles grow and no one cares It gives me hope just to know that he’s there It gives me strength the kind I’ve never known To know I’m never alone. Chorus I’m stronger now than I could ever be In the ever-loving arms of one who carries me And it makes me want to serve him more With every beat of my heart. Verse 2 When the road gets hard and the miles are long When I get turned around and don’t know right from wrong He gives direction, so I can get back home. When the storms of life have my patience frayed When everything seems lost and hope begins to fade I feel him with me to help me carry the load. When nights are dark and days are bleak His loving arms provide me everything that I need. It gives me strength the kind I’ve never known To know I’m never alone. Chorus I’m stronger now than I could ever be In the ever-loving arms of one who carries me And it makes me want to serve him more With every beat of my heart. Bridge There were times in life when I was filled with pride My will was strong, but I was weak inside Life was hard and I was on my own Till I discovered I didn’t need to go it alone. Verse 3 I know I’m happier now than I was back then To know he’s got my back and I can count on him. And he’ll be with me, no matter what might come. Whatever cards I’m dealt whatever hand I hold I know he’ll take me through whatever life unfolds. That’s all that matters when all is said and done. There is no test I can’t endure With guiding hands so strong and sure It gives me strength the kind I’ve never known To know I’m never alone. Chorus I’m stronger now than I could ever be In the ever-loving arms of one who carries me And it makes me want to serve him more With every beat of my heart.
