Scott Sanford, songwriter, nashville, R&B, Country
scott sanford is a nashville wanna-be born in louisiana, yet too far away from the gulf of mexico to be considered a true cajun. scott began playing music at 4 years old, showing interest in the piano at bay springs baptist church, located ironically in chopin, louisiana. his mother, beverly, helped to encourage his musical ability and bought him his own upright piano on easter sunday, 1981. It also didn't hurt that his father was a piano salesman. Scott didn't pick up a guitar until he was 14 years old, but soon showed everyone that the piano was just a stepping stone.

Lyrics
I got ink in the pen, I got the pen on the paper I got the paper on the table... Table on the floor I got the words in my head But my head's somewhere else A place where I didn't See you walk away It's been so long since I've seen your face And I gotta say, I gotta say... That I... I'm just a shell of ghost of a man Without you here in my heart Oh, and I... I don't remember the last thing you said But I hoped it was... "I'll be back in a day... don't wait up for me, babe, I just need to get away if just for a while." But it's been half a year since you've called me dear And I'm still standin here with no reason to smile It's been so long since I've felt this way And I gotta say... I gotta say... That I... I'm just a shell of a ghost of a man Without you here in my heart Oh, and I... I can't think of all the words I wanna say But I try... I try... I got the ink in the pen The pen on the paper And I force out the letters... GOODBYE MY LOVE.
