I am a pianist who also plays hurdy gurdy and I like to combine the two instruments (this is not possible on my own in real time!). Putting chordal piano music against droning gurdy melodies makes for an interesting combination, with or without the rhythmic buzz which has to be used with some care.

Story behind the song
Another interwoven piano and gurdy tune, based on two of Renate's original melodies, one called 'zilver' and the other called 'sneeuw', to make a 5 minute piece. The gurdy is played mostly without the buzz or drone, but these intrude in three short phases, just to remind us what gurdies are about.
