Story behind the song
Monday, April 4th 2011, I was listening to Afromentals Vol 24 by DJ Jamad (a dope azz mixtape, I recommend it for everyone to listen to, just google it) and the song Nowhere (I Can Go) (At Jazz' Astro Black Mix) by Clara Hill came on and somethin about that song spoke to me. So i jumped to the computer and tried to recreate it on Reason. After I got the drum pattern and bass track down I kinda just ran with it and made it something of my own when I realized that my version was in the exact same key as Rihanna's "Only Girl" so I fixed up the track to go with the acappella. Then I fixed up the vocals with a bit of a flanger effect to go with the almost dark feel of the track, Then I combined the vocals and the beat in Adobe Audition and thats the story of how this remix came to be.
