Story behind the song
At the end of the concert, everyone was yelling encore! This was a problem because I hadn’t prepared an encore! (I will never make that mistake again!) Someone yelled out to just make something up, and I thought, “All right!” I was up to the challenge, so I improvised this encore. I started in C, just looking for inspiration, and remembered my first song that was mainly just a C walkdown, so I re-played that, and then transposed to G to do a piano version of a single that I just recorded in a studio called “Thank You.” I transposed to A in the end for a big finish.
