Story behind the song
We have all had times of trial when wrong has occurred despite our honorable intentions. Times when the enemy takes the good you intended, confused it, caused chaos, and used it against you. I am no different than any other human being. This song came after the Lord reminded me it is still better to forgive and allow the Lord to fight the battle. Battle on your knees, or even better on your face, pouring out all your hurt and burdens at the feet of Jesus. That is where healing will begin. Bitterness is like poison and will take root and destroy us. It’s a ploy of the enemy. Forgiveness is not just for other’s sake, but for our own. For then we are truly free.
