I received an email offering a free guitar lesson from one of the on-line guitar instruction sites. The lesson was on the minor melodic scale, which is what I used in this song. The lesson used the scale in a rock/metal, YJM style but the style in which I wrote this song is the thing that immediately came to mind while I was watching the lesson and playing around with the scale.
I used four different guitars in this song and recorded 6 different guitar tracks to get the layered texture. I used an eBow for some of the parts throughout. I hope you enjoy it or at least don't hate it too much.
