as Stevie Nix once said "this is a song about a witch".. perhaps. In any case, as straight up power pop song with haunting overtones.

Story behind the song
an update of a song I originally penned in 2003 - the intro and outro are samples from The Enchanter by Robert Plant, which I felt melded nicely with the mystical theme of being caught in the spell of love.
Lyrics
shadows reach out for me I feel them every day when leaves are rustling in the stillness and trees begin to sway spectres fill the empty streets nothing feels the same a cold wind starts howling it's calling out your name clock hands running backwards twisting on the whim of your schemes telling tales of distant pasts the secrets told in dreams Angelique, queen of the night captured me in her spell left me here to wait for her in this special kind of hell will you ever release me Angelique? Aren't you tired of playing with my life? Is there still a hope for me Angelique? Will you own me till the day I die? She kissed me on a full moon night and ever since nothing feels right Will you ever love me Angelique?

Very good Paul, love the bass lines, although I wish they were a bit louder, vocal harmonies are amazingly tight!!! are you using a vocal effect?vocoder etc? damn really tight harmonies!!! I like the ending..........very unexpected!
