Story behind the song
This song has a long story behind it, but the short version is that I was in the difficult place of knowing that I was wrong and not being able to stop myself. The solution was to quit trying to strengthen my resolve and to let Jesus take care of the problem. But of course, being the person that I am, that was too easy. So I tortured myself by trying to win on my own. Naturally the victory only came when I sincerely asked for help. But when I asked, it came immediately, and the struggle was gone instantly. This song came to me in its entirity within moments. What you hear now is what I was able to remember afterwards ~ there was more.
