I wrote this song with my friend Ben Washofsky. We took a hike to "The Spot", this area out in the woods in Santa Rosa. We wrote much of the song that night. Over the next week or so, we each took the hike again, separately, but not alone, and so for us the song contains multiple levels of meaning. This song is from the summer of 2002, and was first released on the $22 E.P. "Deerfeet" refers to the way in which Ben instructed me to walk so as not to fall off the ledge.
