Story behind the song
We had a project in my German class at Leuphana University (I'm in the USAC study abroad program) where we had to make a series of videos. Each week, we would write a script and film it for the class to watch the following week. The themes for the episodes that the other groups were doing were kind of dry and boring, dealing with staying abroad in general. Although we're sharing that experience, I thought (of course) it'd be cool to do something with music and something different than the other groups. I knew right away I was going to be doing a lot of work. I ended up coming up with the idea (because not everyone had an available instrument at the time or ability to play it) of an air band. Except when they play, they actually make sound. I would write the songs and tracks on the computer, and lay them over the video cut in the videos. We knew that we wanted the last episode to be an entire music video, so I came up with this song, which replaced one that we weren't feeling that much before hand. Many hours put into this, and many laughs later, I feel that there wasn't a cooler project. ;)
