The chords are simple, and were written while I was supposed to be helping lead services with Josh Whinston. My guitar was out of tune, so I went into the corner to tune up. I had an idea for a tune, but services were going on, so I had to severely mute O-lan. I loved the way it sounded and I logged the tune away in my head. The next day, my friend Paul Silverman was wearing a homemade shirt that said, "YOUR FACE" in big letters and underneath in smaller letters, "ties my shoes and knits my mittens." I asked for his permission and I used it. The song was written for Natanya Green.
