I wrote this the morning after I lost my memory. I turned on the T.V. and found the world I had woken to.

I'm writing/rapping the Dumpster Manifesto -- reality from a different perspective.
DJ Tansey -- Rap Entrepreneur AIM: djtansey I have been interested in Hip-Hop since 1995. My first album was Tupac Shakur's Me Against The World. I was only 11, but his music still managed to reach me. I miss rap with a message. It seems everyone is a megalomaniac. So I'm doing my own thing. Hopefully people will give a sh*t.

Lyrics
I woke this morning and couldn't help but weep though I fought everyday I woke to the world's defeat I saw the world dying spent my life trying to help a new Renaissance working with the hand i was dealt turned on the T.V. saw a kid starving in his mothers arms my belly was full wondered how I allowed such harm saw a youth trying to break loose from the prison of poverty knew he was thinking, "what's the use?" his poverty bothered me another girl was fifteen already had a son but no family, no job fifteen and her life was done in the land of the free small men disrespect their mothers got high everyday thinking "can't nobody touch us!" just like the rich fuckers looking down on the world affluence consumes their mind even seeing blood as gold I woke this morning though I wish I was dreaming "have a world to change!" is what I'm now screaming! chorus { because the world's a changin' have to think, how to deal the jobs are leaving the hunger's real just let me ask what about the next generation? reform's our #1 task create a sustainable nation } i listened to my elders "just take care of your family" but the world took them now they can't even hear me the old way doesn't work took too long to figure that out change our ways now or never shed the burden of doubt we need economic reforms lower the cost of living change our way of life make our source of joy, giving think about what you need not having all you desire it's unsustainable, greed can't allow ourselves to tire make sure we all have beds even if ours must be smaller make sure we're all fed even if we are poor we don't have a right to privilege though it's a responsibility deal with what we were granted extend it to all humanity overpopulation an epidemic of life the solution's through education the only way to stop the strife i know it's a lot to ask most not wanting to give it it's for our own survival or we won't want to be living chorus: { because the world's a changin' have to think, how to deal the jobs are leaving the hunger's real just let me ask what about the next generation? reform's our #1 task create a sustainable nation } Must be hard to listen to me as I tell you you must change so just sit think about it how might life be rearranged if you can't get that far let me ask you one question will this work forever? our number one lesson this was out of compassion that was just the beginning now I do it for my kids a necessary act of giving i want a world for tomorrow so I'm fighting today won't be held back by sorrow will live a brighter day i have hope for the future so life's easy success is in how i live so it doesn't tease me i have control of my life no one can take it away i know i hold responsibility for all that I say I know i hold influence my intentions are pure I try to live by my heart forever seeking the cure some say i work too hard don't consider my own preservation I don't because I don't need to if the world is, from me, taken chorus { because the world's a changin' have to think, how to deal the jobs are leaving the hunger's real just let me ask what about the next generation? reform's our #1 task create a sustainable nation }
