Story behind the song
In the days when I composed this song, my friend and I would do drugs. Psychiatrists might say this was bad for us, but you'd often find them prescribing drugs with worse side effects to people and also taking the drug called "alcohol" in public houses (or "local saloons" as the song has it). The song is about how the words of psychiatrists are distorted away from the truth by the need of the drug companies and alcohol merchants to make money.
