Story behind the song

I wrote this song about a real life experience with my first wife Cindy. She was coming to get her things for the last time and leaving. I was standing on the porch with her suitcase ready and looked up to God. I didnt want her to go and prayed for the skies to rain so she wouldnt see me cry when she pulled in the drive.

This whiskey hurts - as you pulled into the drive - to grab your suitcase full of pain. You're movin on - well I could just die. God hide these tears or just let it rain.
