An innovative rock song using an acoustic guitar as the hard-driving rhythm behind aggressive vocals
PANARCHY is the vehicle for performing the more progressive rock songs written by Scott Gordon. The band was started by Scott Gordon (keyboards/vocals/guitars)
Welcome to PANARCHY - proof positive that the craft of songwriting - intelligent, poignant lyrics, and innovative but sonorous harmony of voices and instruments - is not dead. PANARCHY is for me what UTOPIA was for Todd Rundgren. A real band for the band, in-between my own acoustic solo performing and recording.

Story behind the song
This song was inspired after getting a lot of benefit out of applying the book "Dianetics". I came to understand myself better and wanted to share the story.
Lyrics
TURN THE LIGHT ON 1995 - Dallas TX Cutting curbs and corners - Breaking any rule just to stay alive - (that's what I thought) Sinking even further - Every man for himself will survive - (that's what I was taught) -Somehow we landed in a witch's pit -If this were a game I would surely quit -I think I will make the best of it, anyway... Spin down into bodies - The trap is set the key has long been sealed But I am not my body! - I want the truth - I want the truth revealed -Could someone put an end to this pain? -Make me feel my love again? -Could somebody be a truer friend, I pray? Keep the light shining on Make it bright and strong Turn the Light On! Well the truth has been discovered - Life has been recovered - you can read it! So young man put the gun down - What you're looking for has been found - and we need it -Come on, put an end to the mystery -When you know the truth it will set you free -You be the best that you can be - shine on... Turn the light on, turn the light on... Keep the light shining on Make it bright and strong Turn the Light On! Turn the Light On - 1995 - Scott Gordon
