Story behind the song
I listetned to Chris and Neff's Song with the You and ME in it and hated the BEAT! I was in college then and all these cats from all over, North Philly, West Philly Germantown, Pittsburgh, Bronx, Harlem were really gritting on me like you act like you can do it BETTER (im from the small citty of Erie, PA 100,000 pop.), but heo, yea I can do it better than some chump who got paid. Yes I was Cocky. So I got the song ripped it from the CD, made my cuts got a basic kit and looped it! Played with the loop to make it less soul more street melodic and as you can hear, aint had no complaints since. I made a whole lot of friends since I previewed this track for the nay-sayers! LOL. I get request from all over now, One of my beat may be in ya deck already. No diss to the original producers, my point is that you gotta stay up on ya grind because there is always someone hungrier than you. Put in that extra time to make it WORK! PEACE.
