Upcoming North London Hip Hop impresario iLLAMADi released his debut single ‘Top Boy’, produced by Methadon of Awesome Recordings, on 28th May 2007 through All City Music. The single will be a download only release with ‘Listen’ also available to download. iLLAMADi, who has already worked on tracks by MOBO award winning producer Dexplicit, won the urban category of Diesel U Music 2006 He then went on to play his first ever gigs on the Diesel U Music tour before securing two dates at YoYo. iLLA most recently played the St Alysious Club with Pete Doherty, The Others (pictured) & The Priscillas although Pete didn’t make the gig. He is also endorsed by Lyrics4Lyrics an urban clothing label founded by Justin Mwaka, Paul ‘Bwoywonder’ Allimadi & grime DJ Marsta. Lyrics4Lyrics made its debut back in 2004 featuring in the original Lethal B "POW" video and has swiftly become a well-established label on the urban scene being in about 80% of urban videos in the UK. Top Boy is being released through All City Music, Hip-hop imprint run by respected journo/A & R honcho and radio presenter Dan Greenpeace. All City released Mercury Nominated album ‘This Is My Demo’ by MOBO Award winning Sway as well as records by UK artist Shameless and numerous U.S releases across the UK and Europe so iLLAMADi is in great company for his first single release. For the Top Boy release iLLA filmed his first music promo video, which can now be seen on MTV Base ‘From The Endz’ Channel U Sky 360 and also MUSFlash TV Sky 375.
