The Way I See It

Sentimental, but never saccharin, I strive to make music that connects with people on a personal level. And the key ingredient to doing this, I believe, is simply being honest. Far too often we build walls between us when we should be building bridges. We shut ourselves off emotionally for 'protection'. But in the end, all this does is act as a destructive force. Someone once said, "What you can't talk about controls your life." I have found this statement to be true in my life, and I have a feeling that many of you can relate to it as well. What we need in this world is transparency. And I'm just doing my part in making sure this happens. Josh Mesker: Vocals John Furr: Piano, vocals Bobby Paine: Guitar

Lyrics
I saw a bridge in the distance As we walked closer to the edge I thought that we might cross it But you turned around instead I tried my best I kept the bridge in sight But as we walked further away Salvation became a distance memory And I don't know if we'll ever see That wooden path again But I know that you hid away Some things you should have said If there's a song that I can sing To bring you back to the time when you loved me Please let me know And if there's something that I can do To wash away these years and let our love shine through Please let me know And it's a fact I'm still alone Even though you've come back But I'm not complaining It's just strange how I'm in the dark I have to know Do you still think of me Before you fall asleep at night Flipping through old pictures in your mind And I don't know where each of our paths Will end up in the end But I know that there's more to this Than past mistakes my friend
