Story behind the song
The story of a nine-year-old girl who, unnoticed by her family, wandered off the main trail on a weekend hike and suddenly became lost in the woods of New Hampshire, USA, not far away from the Canadian border. She had to survive there on her own and was found by chance eight days later, long after her family had given up any hope of her rescue. Based on the novel of Steven King.
Lyrics
1. It was once a fresh and sweet morning in June They went in woods hiking; they were to be back soon. Her Mom and her brother who didn’t stop to wait Just could not imagine she would go astray She stood there alone, she was only ten She cried but nobody seemed to hear her World’s got the teeth – don’t you understand? Nobody’s here to help you now, when you are lost. 2. Police was alerted, who thought it could fail? She was just too far now to find the main trail. Her traces were gone with a warm summer rain The searching had started, it was all in vain Frightened and tired, she stood there alone She cried but nobody seemed to hear her Eight days in the woods she was on her own Who could imagine she would stand this? She was – R. Lost in the woods- You never know what happens next, Lost in the woods- Just go ahead and don’t look back Lost in the woods- The life is always worth a fight Lost in the woods, lost in the woods… They said it could be no mistake; the hope was almost gone – As on the ninth day in the woods she came across one man. She looked dead rather than alive, She could not speak, she could not cry, But after all that peril she survived.
