Story behind the song
The song is about two cute and funny dolls, one bearing the text "You make me happy" and the other one "I love your kisses", that played a certain role when I met my (now ex-)wife. She lived in Belgium at the time and had those dolls at home. We used to joke about them being us. One time when I came back home after a trip to Belgium I discovered that she had hidden in my luggade one of the dolls. So that's the "mission" this doll was sent to.
Lyrics
This is a sad story 'bout a boy and a girl who always kept together as one They were that kind of dolls who were always so kind their faces had the loveliest smiles and no-one would believe they would ever part They seemed to be so deep in each other's heart She said: You make me happy And he said: I love your kisses One day something changed their lives He had to bid fare-well and leave It was a mission ordered by some-one above It was a mission to a foreign place They felt the longing inside them burn until the day when he would return She said: You make me happy And he said: I love your kisses

Very well written and arranged.. I'm not surprised since I've heard your other music. Such talent you have, Claes. You always amaze me in doing something different in variety and I like that in you. Example.... The harmony in singing only one word and holding it out... You don't hear that done too often. Usually they will sing the harmony on that whole line or repeat... I love how you arranged this tune and the fading out at the end was very fitting with your theme. Verkligen gillade det! Bra jobb som alltid!

Ok...this one has become my new favorite and I'm truly surprised that I am the first one to comment! The chord progression is unusual, but wonderful, and creates an overall wistful mood that counters the light and happy rhythm. Harmonies are fabulous. Great song! Would love to hear more about the dolls if it's not too painful for you to talk about. They sound precious! :)
