Welcome! I am a singer/songwriter of different styles of Christian and Country Music....Enjoy the message I bring, and may your heart be ministered to.
Hello! I'm very glad you stopped in to listen and visit. :) The message I carry is simply this...Jesus loves you and I do too. Hope you enjoy what you hear, and get a blessing from the music, as God does not give His people gifts to just set them upon the shelf, and never be used. I'm only as good as the Lord helps me to be, and I'm thankful for the blessings He has bestowed upon me. I'm NOT perfect, never claimed to be; but on the other hand, I have a message to minister in song, and I do that to the best of my ability. I fully realize there are many songs I demo here that don't fit my style/voice, but I can't run out and get a singer that fits everytime I write a song. :) What I write or cover comes from the heart. I've endured many hard trials in my life, and each one has, in one way or the other made its way into a song that others can relate to. All of my songs except for noted exceptions are free downloads. I'm not a professional by any means, nor am I interested in becoming one; and so the music is given away just as freely as the message was given to me. Story behind the song
There have been many times I have written songs specifically drawn from the many situations I have encountered in my lifetime. This was one of those times. My boss lost his oldest son to a massive heartattack in September of 2006. The burden of having lost a child nearly broke this fine man. I had many conversations with him in the first few weeks after this devastating loss, and I was very afraid for him. The Lord had impressed me to stick with him, as I watched over him, so to speak, prayed for him, and kept checking on him, encouraging him..and trying to help him...even though I have never had to walk in his shoes...I can remember saying that I didn't know what he was going thru, but I could always PRAY. This song came, and I had a really hard time with it...I still can't sing it without crying like a baby...forgive the mistakes and just listen to the message..pls? I cried the day I sang it, and I have never been able to sing it again. There were bits and pieces of our conversations wound into the song, and yes, I did give him a copy of it..I always do when I write a song for someone....He said it touched him deeply, that no one had ever done something like this for him. If you have suffered a loss of any kind, please allow this song to minister to you and may God help you to understand that His wisdom is more than our minds can comprehend...He never said we wouldn't have trouble, but He did say He would carry us when we needed Him the most.... Update:12/29/2010...I learned just yesterday that my friend died on 12/22/2010 at the age of 61. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Rick, my friend; you'll now see your son once again.
Lyrics
(c)10/06 You've lost someone you love, It's fresh upon your mind; And you're trying to get through, One day at a time. You're angry and you're sad, You just don't understand. Take it to the Lord Trust in His wisdom, Leave it in His Hands. (Chorus) When you've been deeply wounded, And oh, so badly hurting.. And the storm is all around you, The Lord is there, for certain. Down the road you'll see, How He has always held you. But that won't come 'til later, When time has brought you through. Your pain runs so deep, You can't sleep at night. Sometimes, you lack the strength, To get back up and fight. Take courage my friend, I know you'll make it through. God has not left, And so many people, Are praying for you.

I'm sure he would be proud/ Beautiful vocals and such lovely lyrics. I have just released a very mellow hip hop song called "Life Part 2" you might like it, any feedback is appreciated. B-Mize

Hello Tammy, A very touching song, one of healing :) I hope that you are well. I have been busier than a one armed paper hanger...LOL :) Work has been keeping me hopping... I haven't had much time to work on music because I have been cleaning up highways in my spare time, last week I picked nine bags of trash on the way home. It feels good now as drive to see a clean highway. Keeping you all in my prayers. Have a Great weekend, Love and Hugs, Kurty

This song was inspired by real pain in real lives and it connects immediately and profoundly with the listener who is experiencing pain and grief. "Rick's Song" literally got me through one of the toughest weeks of my life recently. This song is as pure and compassionate as though the Blessed Virgin Mary herself was singing it to you as she holds you in her maternal embrace. Tammy's empathy and talent converge in this song to produce a musical classic but more importantly, a love letter from God for those experiencing the deep and bewildering pain caused by death and separation.
