Story behind the song
When our sinful ways cause others to stumble into darkness, we have hurt the heart of God, who has warned us not to drag down His children into sin. Performances by B.J. Collins on keyboards and vocals, Bo Collins on bass and vocals, Al Mosovsky on drums, and Shawn Opfer on guitar.
Lyrics
I am the weaker brother - don't bring me down with the things you do. Brother - I watch your walk, I look up to you. Brother - Build me up. Brother - Fill my cup. Brother - Help me find the truth. As iron sharpens iron, so my brother sharpens me. As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man. I am the weaker brother - don't bring me down with the things you do. Brother - I watch your walk, I look up to you. Brother - Build me up. Brother - Fill my cup. Brother - Help me find the truth. As wood is to the fire, so my brother is to me. When the wood is gone the fire goes out, ‘til there's no warmth or light. I am the weaker brother - don't bring me down with the things you do. Brother - I watch your walk, I look up to you. Brother - Build me up. Brother - Fill my cup. Brother - Help me find the truth. As a dog returns to vomit, so a fool returns to sin. When a man is wise in his own eyes, there is no more hope for him. I am the weaker brother - don't bring me down with the things you do. Brother - I watch your walk, I look up to you. Brother - Build me up. Brother - Fill my cup. Brother - Help me find the truth. I am the weaker brother - don't bring me down with the things you do. Brother - I watch your walk, I look up to you. Brother - Build me up. Brother - Fill my cup. Brother - Help me find the truth. Brother - Help me find the truth. Brother - Help me find the truth.
