Paediatric Burn Ward is my solo work. Even though I've played in a variety of bands ranging from the punk rock shite of Firestorm right through the complete mess of Total Fucking Darkness, I've had my solo work. I have to have something to call my own. You know how the saying goes - "if you want something done right, do it yourself". So that's what I've done here. That's why I play, record, edit and produce every aspect of the music (barring the inevitable guest appearances of course). I've gone through several forms of music, as I've been fucking around with it since I was twelve (the intro to the song "The Operating Theatre" is a piano piece I recorded when I was twelve, and at the time was the outro track for a CD I did when I was in a band called "Sean DJ & Flex O" - haha!). I've even ventured towards dance / chill out under the name The 2:20 Project. But that was the past. This is now. This is what I do now. I'm not really an angry person underneath, but everyone gets angry at things, you can't deny it. And everyone needs a healthy way to get thier anger out. So that's why I now make angry music. And the angriest music I know is grindcore. The songs are often short, sharp, and totally in your fucking face! Mix that with gorey / porno influences and you get the extremely obscure (and unknown) genres pornogrind, or goregrind. To the untrained ear, all sub-genres of grindcore (even grind itself) is just a mass of noise. Is that MY fucking problem? No. If you don't like what you hear, don't listen to it.
