France Wounds My Heart (With Monotonous Languor)

Final mix. My friend Andy Bernard added the bass on June 21, and I added some drum fills. I admit this is real harsh. More than I thought. I did this one for a friend of mine on the anniversary of D-Day (June 6th for those history challenged folks)

Just a guitar hacker writing and recording original music in my home studio. I have enough tools to be dangerous LOL.
Would love a real band to cover and make any of my songs their own. I think some of the songs are good, better than I have the ability to do them justice. If interested, reach out...

Lyrics
Wounds My Heart With A Monotonous Languor We died by the thousands We fought on their beaches How could we know We were fighting for leeches France wounds my heart with a monotonous languor France wounds my heart with a monotonous languor France wounds my heart with a monotonous languor France wounds my heart Their armies moved backwards They folded and fled We should have known It was for nothing we bled France wounds my heart with a monotonous languor France wounds my heart with a monotonous languor France wounds my heart with a monotonous languor France wounds my heart Languor is defined inactivity; an unusual lack of energy Yes, languor is defined as inactivity an unusual lack of expending energy We fought in their fields From fieldstone to hedge row We gave them their country That they would have let go Wounds wounds my heart with a monotonous languor France wounds my heart with a monotonous languor France wounds my heart with a monotonous languor France wounds my heart
