Story behind the song
Wrote this for my youngest son when he was about 8 years old.
Lyrics
There is a boy, named Brooder Loved a lot by his mom and dad. Little boy, this Kiloman Brooder Mostly cheerful, rarely sad! He and I we play together Pound the piano every day. We'd ride bikes and talk forever, But my work calls me away. Brooder plays til he gets grouchy Then he curls up in my chair Needs to nap when he gets touchy Often find him snoozing there. Brooder wrestles with his puppy You should see them roll around Toe head, black spot tumbling but he Never hurts the little hound. BRIDGE Brooder is a miracle, he barely made it in Waiting in the hospital for him to start breathin' Cold and limp he came to us with eyes a blue so deep Now we have him strong and happy, he is ours to keep! Brooder is a king tree-climber Scoots right-up there to the top. Slides down rope and swings in tire, Swinging, smiling yells, "Hey Pop!" Brooder gets a little messy Baking pies for you and me. Makes those mud-pies big and juicy, Mud pie maker one, two, three. Brooder is my little buddy Growing daily in front of me. Now I sit here in my study, Wondering how this miracle came to be!
