Welcome! I am a singer/songwriter of different styles of Christian and Country Music....Enjoy the message I bring, and may your heart be ministered to.
Hello! I'm very glad you stopped in to listen and visit. :) The message I carry is simply this...Jesus loves you and I do too. Hope you enjoy what you hear, and get a blessing from the music, as God does not give His people gifts to just set them upon the shelf, and never be used. I'm only as good as the Lord helps me to be, and I'm thankful for the blessings He has bestowed upon me. I'm NOT perfect, never claimed to be; but on the other hand, I have a message to minister in song, and I do that to the best of my ability. I fully realize there are many songs I demo here that don't fit my style/voice, but I can't run out and get a singer that fits everytime I write a song. :) What I write or cover comes from the heart. I've endured many hard trials in my life, and each one has, in one way or the other made its way into a song that others can relate to. All of my songs except for noted exceptions are free downloads. I'm not a professional by any means, nor am I interested in becoming one; and so the music is given away just as freely as the message was given to me. Story behind the song
I just found out the other day, that Pamela R. Hannah, my friend for over 20 years, who had cancer passed away on Christmas Eve in 2007. The shock, to say the least, has been profound, as David, Michael and I were in Gatlinburg, TN on that date. She was the best friend I ever had that, in many ways, knew me better than I knew myself ...and when I discovered she had cancer, it challenged my beliefs in a way I'd never had to face. But my faith in the Lord is and was NOT shaken, although I don't always understand why He does what He does..He plainly states His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, His ways are higher than our ways..and some things we are not meant to understand, only believe that He knows best. This song was written back in 2005 with a great deal of hope; but you know, though she has passed away, there was no failure...as death is a type of healing... she is out of all the pain and suffering now, and I'm still here in a world that grows worse by the day and year. You don't find friendships like these just anywhere, this was a once in a lifetime friendship..I'll never know or have another friend like her. I miss her very much.
Lyrics
When life has brought you down and leaves you shattered, You're at the point where nothing, really matters. You wonder if there's more, But your back's against a door, That just won't open. I know someone who'll help you get the pieces, Of your life back together, and give you reason, To start living again, And His help never ends, So trust in Him. (Chorus) (Chorus) You'll never be alone... No matter what you face, God will walk with you, anytime, anyplace. All you need to do is call, And just say the word. He'll come and stand by you, And you will win this war.... Between you and the Lord. At times you feel that you are, really falling. And so afraid that you will, reach the bottom. He's watching over you, This trial He'll bring you through, His hands will catch you. So many days you've had your, times of crying But staying on your feet, 'cause you're still fighting. Oh, He's held you when you've cried, And He's never left your side, Believe it's true. (Chorus) Bridge: At times, the situation seems too much, That's when He comes to bless you, With His touch!

Tammy, There's no greater gift than the gift of love. I believe that your song clearly shows the bond that you and your dear friend Pam truly had between each other. I'm touched!!!! We all know how cruel cancer can be across this Earth and how helpless one is when it hits them. Just the word sends shivers up my spine. There is a silence beyond all and any silence that man has ever known that comes when this disease strikes its fear in their heart of hearts. YET, The soul persists to its place of retreat from where it was created leaving the memories to forever dance within YOUR heart until you meet again. The joy is that the pain and agony of this disease is over and the ecstacy upon entering heavens gate has begun. We all know how extremely sensative you are my dear friend....and no, it's not wrong to tear because you are human and God gave you those feelings of remorse so you can go on. And you will...It is without reservation that I offer my sincere condolences. It's by faite th

Hey Tammy, Thanks for the kind words and better-than-I-deserve rating. Great to hear others are discovering your anointed music! Congrats on the Church in Tennessee! "Pam's Song" is another gift of grace at the point of despair. You have a gift to both empathize with and encourage the listener. Your most amazing talent in my opinion is to convey this gift in melody, rhythm and musical arrangment. Some people can write the words; others can compose the music; still others perform the music and vocals. You do it all. Congrats on such a loving, warm and soul-lifting track. Happy Thanksgiving, Johnny
