A Hendrix song the drummer & guitar player learned hours before a show. For the lack of pratice, it turned out fairly well. A few parts stray from the original, particularly Mitch Mithelson's drum solo, which we turned into a 2 minute noise jam.

An original, instrumental progressive rock, porno funk trio, UNICRON has been rocking people minds and asses for the last year in the small college town of Kent, OH. Starting as a drunken improv jam band turned drunken cover band, UNICRON now has a vast repetoire of original instrumental compositions. Combining driving, chaotic rhythms, fierce guitar leads and subdued, spaced out jams, UNICRON performs with a level of intensity and non-pretensiousness (is it pretensious to call yourself unpretensious?) not often found in experimental music. As of recent, original bassist Biff Stifftickle has relocated to Tempe, AZ for recording school. Bassist Dr. Xavier Beefcurtains of Rockamopopolous and 1959 fame has taken over this role.

Story behind the song
I found this song on Hendrix's "Live at Woodstock" album and immediately thought, why haven't I ever heard this before. One of the most mindblowing Hendrix songs ever written. We appropriated this song because it contains all the elements of UNICRON. It's long, dirty, undancable, has face-melting solos, and it's a Hendrix song for Christ's sake.
