Story behind the song
We have no freakin idea where some of these emo bands come up with their lyrics. They try to sound deep but they always seem to just whine about their problems. I made a joke one night about how the lyrics probably come from a movie or video game. We decided to make a song about Super Mario Brothers, because no one had more problems than Mario. It is so emo being Mario.
Lyrics
Verse 1: My enemies pile up so high, Why do I even try? I always seem to die, before I get to you. Coins and 'shrooms are my aides, in this big chaotic craze, this 16-bit crusade, to try to get to you. Verse 2: There's a bridge between you and me. A monster holds the key, who I must now defeat, before I get to you. But I'm not alone in my fight, my taller brother by my side. We must use all our lives, to try to beat the game. Chorus: Cuz I ain't no Counting Crow, I just want you know, It's Nintend-emo. Verse 3: The world is just so cheap, Another level to beat, Going nowhere, it seems, In my attempt to get to you. The stomping never ends, as I jump from head to head. I LEAVE P**** n*** S DEAD. As I try to get to you. Chorus "gay-ass" emo solo that has no reason to be in the song and has a completely different rhythm and tempo than the rest of the song. Chorus ENTER ROCKAWESOMNESS!!
