Story behind the song
I used to sing it to her around the house, although sometimes I would laugh as i sang it. It was actually my ex-wifes wish that I got the song recorded in some format, so when I played the song to James Stonehouse he joined in and came up with this nice bassline that really helped to make the song come alive, so we jammed it for a bit and then decided to record it...and we did, LIVE. There are no overdubs, I played the acoustic rhythm guitar and also sang lead vocals which for someone who doesnt consider themselves a singer or guitarist was a daunting thing.

Many thanks for all your VERY kind comments folks - the Tom Petty/Bob Dylan comparison in particular brought a huge smile to my dial as they are 2 of my biggest influences :-) humbly yours Richard

A special, romantic, beautiful tune, a snapshot in time to always treasure. Amazing live performance, vocal performance so sincere, excellent, nice guitar work and bass groove too. I really enjoyed this a lot.

Beautiful song, Richard, from the lyrics to the acoustic & bass. You wrote that you don't think of yourself as a singer. Maybe you should.
