a praising indian sounding song
hiphop new flamenco reggae folk gypsy middle east exotic arabic romanian
Artist picture
I am influenced by music around the world, starting with Romanian gypsy music, middle eastern, Indian music, gypsy jazz/swing, flamenco, African, reggae, soca,
these songs are from the spring-summer of 2005. my newest songs, are here: http://www.soundclick.com/alinrogoz1 http://www.soundclick.com/alinrogoz2 http://www.soundclick.com/alinrogoz3 anyways, I prefer to be mediocre in all styles, than outstanding in one only... I’m young, hopefully, in a few years, I’ll bring my overall level higher exponentially. I was born in east Romania, a gate between the Middle East, and the west. We play a very flavourful music there, and it's ultimately the music I feel most (Romanian gypsy music). Having lived in France in 91, and Canada since 92, I became exposed to many other styles that I admired, and felt inspired to pursue. I concentrated my efforts on instrumentation, leaving the voice behind always, but recently, I began singing. It’s a rough road, but I feel I’ll get there eventually. I hope you enjoy my songs, not for their quality, but rather for the ideas, rhythms, and fusion of styles. God bless!

Story behind the song
i just saw ravi shankar play with anushka in edmonton. everything i hear inspires me, even music in the elevator (off course i'm not comparing the greatness of ravi and his daughter to a mundane elevator music). i am a slave to my ears, as what i hear, isn't always voluntary, but changes my mood, my feel regardless. anyways, this is a song that i thought had great potential, and turned out a disapointement. i'm not a perfectionist, so i'm not upset about it, proud of the initial idea, and alwas looking forward to my next song to represent me.
