Artist picture
old-time fiddle tunes and folk songs popular in the South during the Civil War (War Between the States) with focus on the Confederacy
A Stitch In Time was formed by accident about 2 years ago when we were put on stage together by chance at a gathering at the Montgomery County Fair Grounds. We were hired at that event to play at a Civil War Battle Reenactment in Hot Springs. That gig led to another, and another, and finally to where we are now. The members of the group are: Marianne Siller - vocals, guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and jaw harp--Phyllis Ryle -vocals, fiddle, guitar, and spoons--and, Bob Nation - fiddle. Our group has two basic purposes. First, we just want to have fun playing music. Second, we want to promote old time accoustic music. We hope you enjoy what we do, and we look forward to hearing from you.
