My original inspiration for this track was the story of the WWII Soviet pilot Lilya Litvak - one of many brave women who fought for their country and someone I would very much like to have met. If you want to know more about Lilya and her squadron, read 'Night Witches' by Bruce Myles - a phenomenal story and one that shouldn't be forgotten.
