Having played in bluegrass, country, and rockabilly bands in the 70s and 80s, Doc moved to Scotland where he got his PhD. While teaching, he revived his musical career as a singer/songwriter. In 2000 he teamed up with fellow singer/songwriter Dave Gray to form Beenie's Hoose Music to promote and produce local music. Doc plays locally and released his first solo CD in 2003.
