Room 212 is a place of doubt, fear and pain; but, it's also a place of hope, mercy , peace and the grace of God. You see, Room 212 is the place where my son who was eleven at the time lie in a coma for almost a month after being hit by a car going 50 miles per hour three years ago. After he came out of the coma, he began to tell us how he went to heaven and saw Jesus and his grandpa after the car hit him. He had to relearn how to walk, talk, eat, read, etc... it's been three years and now he's playing drums live with our band! God is good! Room 212 is two dads and two sons. We combine the old and the new in a way that seems to work pretty well for us. Our prayer is that our music will be an encouragement through all the hard times and difficulties in life and through the times of rejoicing as well. God bless, much love, David L. Story behind the song
I attended a Promise Keepers Ralley a few years ago. Speakers from all different races spoke on racial reconciliation. Then they explained that spiritually we have to repent for the sins of our past ancesters, because according to the Bible sins are passed down to the third, fourth generation, etc... Also, if we want racial healing in this country, it will only come as we repent for the wrongs of the past, and for the way we were taught as children and brought up. The speaker then asked all the white men to go to men of different races and repent for the sins of their forefathers. He also asked men from all different races to repent for the sins of prejudice. I looked around and their were men of all different colors all embracing, praying, forgiving one another, and racial reconciliation and healing was taking place. I then saw three men who just remained in their seats and never went to anybody. I guessthe way you are raised is something that's so deep, that it has to break through. I must do my part to bring racial healing and reconciliaton. This song was done at Praise in the Park 2004, a multi-racial praise and worship festival held at Agnus Lamb Park in Dade City, FL on May 5th 2004. There were ministers representing the Native-American, African-American, Hispanic-American, and Anglo-American peoples on stage as this song was performed and a joint, multi-racial choir sang on the chorus. We hope that this song is influential in bringing healing to our land.
