Story behind the song
There are far too many times when God has shown me a piece of what He wants me to do and I've run ahead without bothering to ask Him how to do it. I can get so consumed with goals that it's easy to become discouraged when I don't see God working; in these times I have to ask God to hold back my ambitions and help me focus on trusting in Him. I believe that our passions are given to use for reasons, but that they must always remain secondary to the passion of knowing and walking with our Creator.
