Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
I've always enjoyed the variety of Goldfrapp's music. This is from their 4th album, Seventh Tree. A big change of direction from their two previous albums... Black Cherry and Supernature. Seventh Tree is what some might call, 'Pastoral Psychedelia...well, call it what you will ... it's a fabulous album. For the brass ensemble on the 2nd instrumental break, I used the same trick that the Beatles did on Lady Madonna ... I made the sounds with my mouth and added a little reverb and chorus. It sounds quite good.
Lyrics
Happiness by Goldfrapp (2008) Join our group and you will find, harmony and peace of mind. ... make you better, we're here to welcome you ... We're all on a journey too, finding the real inner you. ... make you better, (make you better) We're here to welcome you ... Time stops still when you've lost love ... love ... Happiness, how'd you get to be happiness how'd you get to find love, real love Love love love ... ... [ short instrumental break ] ... (we're here to welcome you) Floating in the magic world, donate all your money. We'll make it better (make it better) we're here to welcome you ... Time, stops still when you've lost love ... love ... Happiness, how'd you get to be happiness How'd you get to find love, real love Love love love ... ... [ David's 'Brass Humana' instrumental break ] :-) (we're here to welcome you) We'll be swimming in the sea of wisdom and serenity Make you better, Happiness, how'd you get to be happiness How'd you get to find love, real love Love love love ... Happiness, how'd you get to be happiness How'd you get to find love, real love Love love love ... Happiness, how'd you get to be happiness How'd you get to find love, real love Love love love ... Happiness, how'd you get to be happiness How'd you get to find love, real love Love love love ... ... guitar instrumental and gradual fade-out ... a small section of, 'It's All Too Much', inspired by The Beatles (Thanks George) Songwriters: Alison Elizabeth Goldfrapp, William Owen Gregory.

Dont know the original song/band. No surprise written in 2008. Ive been out of current music for a long time. Really like what youve done with this. From other comments it is better than the original which the brit pop sound you have applied sounds very good. Good vocals/instruments sound excellent

I listened to the original and you’ve made it your own and for me a much better version especially with the great guitar /synth work in it . The vocals go really well with the change of vibe from the original and love the outro ! Great cover David .

Hi David, thanks for the heads up on this one. I must agree with the comments so far. You have indeed taken this to another level. Top notch work from you. Loving everything from the vocal to the great guitar and synth / effects. Superb production!

Great job on the vocals/harmonies! I think you've taken the song to a new level. I always felt the original was a little too "girly" for my tastes, so I much prefer the way you have approached it. Excellent production & first class version - especially like the way you have added your own elements without losing the essence of the original song.

What a brilliant cover David, you've put your own beatlesque stamp on this with such musical prowess of which you display on all your tracks. Mate, this is seriously brilliant! You took an electro synth pop track and turned it into your own complete song - great nod to Harrison but the Beatles influence runs all the way thru - love the instrumental break, it's all just so good, vocals and your playing are ace! excellent mix, arrangement and performance, well done! It also segues so cool into 'London Town!'
