some people get by with a little understanding, some people get by with a whole lot more..
think back to when Gary Numan wrote and recorded 'Cars' in 1979 and if we don't think we've lost something we're crazy...but if we think it's coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools... can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days.. in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout as they sang the blues, let it all hang out.. rock and roll..

Story behind the song
The OG started as a jam and soon became a primal, elemental almost tribal type number, which paved the way for 'Tusk' (single) two years later - Buckingham stretching as an artist created an environment the band willingly or not veered into with apparent ease...this was not a traditionally structured song nor did it sound like anything else on the hit parade at that time...(nor did 'Tusk' for that matter...) I've used an excerpt from a radio interview (2000's) with Stevie, it gives a window to her soul and the good work she involves herself in, plus it creates a cool vibe. Gary, Rick and myself present here with og and sampled vox from Kath of which I've re-mixed to try and give an ethereal and elemental feel to this.
Lyrics
Stevie Nicks has a strong history of supporting military veterans, particularly through her Band of Soldier's Foundation. This foundation was established to support the recovery efforts of wounded and injured troops from that of the Afghan and Iraq wars, with proceeds benefiting their care. She has also been a long-time visitor to military hospitals like Walter Reed and Bethesda, providing support and comfort to service members and their families. On her visits to these hospitals she issues iPods to recovering soldiers stating what we all know to be true that music is one of the best healers.
