MOKA is an all original alternative rock band whose live performances live up their well crafted songs and powerful hooks. Each member of MOKA is an accomplish
Moka formed in 2003 as an all original alt rock project. Drummer / Producer Pete Turok called on old time friends Kellis Parker (lead guitar, vocals) and Darliene Parker (lead Vocals, stage goddess with moves as good as her voice) to relocate from New York City to Seattle to form the band. Bassist Chris Kadin completed the lineup. Moka is best known for high energy, inspiring live performances, featuring Kellis' (former lead player for Maceo Parker) extended ripping guitar solos and Darliene's sultry moves and powerful yet seductive voice. The band's produced work has been called a splice of the DNA of Lenny Kravitz, No Doubt, and Led Zeppelin, while live shows tend to reflect the more jam based background of drummer Pete Turok with extended breaks, soloing and improvised jams. The band's songwriting and popular live performances made Moka one of the "most compelling new live acts in Seattle", according to several local club owners.

Story behind the song
A twangy rock and roll epic with a killer hook and great harmonies. Don't miss Kellis' lead break, which during our live shows takes on a life of it's own. This is a straight forward rock and roll apology....oh, and I try not to be late anymore ;)
Lyrics
Well I messed up, now I've fessed up And all I really know is I didn't mean to make you cry Well it got late, and I made you wait And as your smile disappears all I'm really left with is I didn't mean to make you cry No I didn't mean to make you cry And I'm so sorry now And all I want to know is... What Should I Do? I Didn't Mean to Make You Cry What Should I Do? I Don't Want to Say Goodbye It's the last time That I'll be out of line Whatever it takes I'll change my ways in time Cause I don't want to see you cry I've been convicted, now your conflicted No one around here could have ever predicted That I'm not the one to say good-bye I don't want to see you cry No I don't want to see you cry And I'm so sorry now And all I want to know is... What Should I Do? I Didn't Mean to Make You Cry What Should I Do? I Don't Want to Say GoodbyeWhat Should I Do? I Didn't Mean to Make You Cry What Should I Do? I Don't Want to Say Goodbye (lead break) And whether we break up, or even we make up For the rest of my life I'll always wonder one thing... What Should I Do? I Didn't Mean to Make You Cry What Should I Do? I Don't Want to Say GoodbyeWhat Should I Do? I Didn't Mean to Make You Cry What Should I Do? I Don't Want to Say Goodbye I don't want to see you cry I don't want to say goodbye...
