Story behind the song
That someone you ignored who was always there for you.
Lyrics
I've Always have been a dreamer, I was born to wander I Never could, settle down But these roads of loneliness always seemed to make me guess. Somewhere out there, I'll be found. Keep searching for nothing, odd jobs kept me running If love ever came to me, I ran and I hid I really didn't seem to care To settle down and cut my hair. Never found that good life, So I fled Just like that old guitar, in the back seat of this car Like me had no meaning, it won't play because its in my history So I'll bring it on with me Stepping on the gas, make a pass, drive away Then came one woman love sneaking on me I braked, it was coming Slowing down for a woman. A better place, another face, for me to see But what did I do, I got up, I flew. Though someone saying to please stay, With nothing more on to it, I couldn't go on through it. I just drove on through, without you, and went away So, for me, without a home, here I'm still all alone Maybe I should have brought myself to pray But God is not with me, Blame it on the whiskey I left out that morning, another day So what now have I done, Here I am on the run I left it all, and I drove away. But I would, come back for you If you should, ever want me to I'll stop these wheels from rolling away I'll stop these wheels from rolling away

A very engaging story that had me hooked right away. I like the wistful, gentle melody & lyrics. Brilliantly written & performed!

What a nice, toned down song. The subtle performance makes it sound fragile, but also heartfelt and relevant. Very nice work on vocals and guitar!
