Right from Wrong (featuring Matt Kirschner)

on this mix I really wanted the heavy driving rock feel that John's playing had achieved to shine yet also showcase Matt Kirschner's brilliant guitar solo!

some people get by with a little understanding, some people get by with a whole lot more..
think back to when the Monkees were riding high in the charts with such great songs as 'Daydream Believer' and 'Last Train to Clarksville' and how the world seemed less complicated and more focussed on serious issues as opposed to Tik Tok or Instagram and if we don't think we've lost something we're crazy...but if we think it's coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools...ok, Christmas salutations from myself, Jill, Louie the wonder dog and Cha-Cha the kitty kat, everyone else has left us now, lol - empty nesters...haha! Michael Keaton in a scene from 'Birdman' is here due to his brilliant acting abilities...dig Mike and he's a supreme talent for sure! can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days.. in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout as they sang the blues, let it all hang out.. rock and roll...

Story behind the song
asked Matt K to give us a guitar solo and he goes and changes the dynamic of the song (the outro is simply brilliant) - we're talking Bat out of Hell brilliance here, so damn Rundgren good!
Lyrics
You don't always wanna change my mind Because you can't always be the one You weren't given some cosmic sign So you can't always be the one Take that money and leave this sad 'ol town Take that money now before the sun goes down Ahhhhhhhhh And what does it matter now what I'm thinkin' You never know what's right or wrong So what does it matter now what I'm thinkin' Still don't know what's right or wrong Ahhh, ahhh, ahhhhhhh You can't always be the one You can't always be the one You can't always know what I'm thinkin' You don't know what's right or wrong You don't know what I'm thinkin' You don't know right from wrong And I don't remember that night And I don't remember you Any old way that you want to choose this Any old way that you want to lose Oooooh yeah [Matt K guitar solo]
