Story behind the song
If there's no reason to dislike or cold-shoulder someone, people will invent one. Diamonds in the Snowlight are the erroneous beliefs some people have, thinking others are better off than they are. The story of being frozen out due to envy. I hope the piano parts convey snowflakes in a blizzard against bitterly cold scenery (the metaphorical Winter we all have to battle sometime in our lives) - the day the song was written & the image I had in mind.
Lyrics
DIAMONDS IN THE SNOWLIGHT The changing face of some people turns like a Winter town, Looking out through their eyes of silent stone, There's colder comfort with the social crowd, Fit in their frame, or be alone. Yeah, Ooh, Diamonds In The Snowlight (Snowlight) Ooh-ee-ooh Diamonds In The Snowlight Shine so bright. Ooh, Diamonds In The Snowlight (Snowlight) Ooh-ee-ooh Diamonds In The Snowlight Shine so bright. A lonesome face at a window quietly dignified, Bitter winds laugh and steal from broken trees, This frosty season never can deny, Were all what someone else believes. Ooh, Diamonds In The Snowlight (Snowlight) Ooh-ee-ooh Diamonds In The Snowlight Shine so bright. Ooh, Diamonds In The Snowlight (Snowlight) Ooh-ee-ooh Diamonds In The Snowlight Shine so bright. Keep returning to this one! It's such a genuine song. Honest lyrics & no musical trickery. With so many backing tracks, loops & AI in today's music, it's great to hear something truly created by the artist

Hello Rodrica! How are you! A great song! You have a signature sound, You hit the marks! Your sincere lyrics remarkably still frozen in time. Unfortunately, here it is almost summer and still snowing.

Can't believe I missed this one. New songs from you are rare, but so worth waiting for! This song has a mellow, floating mood, with an underlying suppressed rage, that goes so well with the brilliant lyrics. "Were all what someone else believes." Og yes, that is where we get caught up again and again. And really, we can only imagine what someone else believes, but that is enough to make us doubt ourselves. Wonderful production, the beautiful piano themes are sprinkled like icicles over the frosty background. Being frozen out is one of the worst experiences to endure. Whether it is by a single person or a group of people. It takes a lot to keep your head up high when you are fighting your way through the deep snow piles. This ia amazing stuff, Rodz. Keep'em coming!
