Some are talented and wont get a gong. But me? I wont be here long! VERSE 2: Ive done a lyric about Trump and Biden. But not the Austrian composer Haydn. Ive wrote about aliens destroying the Earth. And girls with significant girth! How about some words about winter? Or my cheap piece of crap Epson printer? There things to say about NFL referees! Id rather to write about a good blue cheese. CHORUS: Everyone wants to sing a song! From Zappa to Louie Armstrong. Some are talented and wont get a gong. But me? I wont be here long! [BRIDGE - SOLO] VERSE 3: I won't write about excessive drinking! That assessment may be too unblinking! Likewise Ill skip addressing my turning sixty-five. Im just happy to be here and alive! Words about war and violence are often done. I could write about waste and cost overrun? I'll take a pass on those two topics above! And I'll skip the cliche subject of true love!
