Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
A psychedelic styled Pop song. My very good friend Jesus Oldman suggested a song title to me. I had an un-named song 'in the pipeline'. His title suggestion inspired me to use this as a basis for the 'middle 8'. Everything then fell into place. I pulled out all the stops for the rip-roaring high-flying guitar solo. Oh boy, did I enjoy doing that part ! Guitars used on this recording were, a Rickenbacker 4003 bass and a Yamaha Revstar 420. So, it was Jesus Oldman who, 'talked me into it'. Actually it was Penny and Caroline, (two lovely Hippy Chicks), who talked me into it way back in my totally misguided youth. :)
Lyrics
You Talked Me Into It (c)2024 David A Briggs. Intro: Rhythm guitars Judy wears dark glasses, when there's no sun in the sky. Johnny plays his piano, sees the paper taxis fly . . . We took a pill from the red tube, took a trip to the end of the line. We're heading out to a party, dressed in clothes, oh so fine . . . but hey there, mister square, we're everywhere. we're digging the modern scene, it's a gas, and we don't care. It's an ocean of music, we're going to rock this boat. we're riding the biggest wave, and we're going for broke . . . You won't see us on parade, in uniforms boring and grey. It's a new adventure, the old guard has had its day . . . but hey there, mister square, we're everywhere. we're digging the modern scene, it's a gas, and we don't care. but you talked me into it, I could have walked away. You talked me into it, and now I can't walk away . . . walk away. guitar solo: but hey there, mister square, we're everywhere. . . . hey there mister square, we're everywhere . . . you talked me into it, I could have walked away. You talked me into it, and now I can't walk away . . . you talked me into it, I could have walked away. You talked me into it, and now I can't walk away . . . You talked me into it, and now I can't walk away . . . fade out: . . . took a trip to the end of the line . . . took a trip to the end of the line . . .

Love that swinging 60's vibe in the music & lyrics. Very catchy song, I could imagine this going down well at Glastonbury!
