You've re-ignited my interest in this kind of jazz. I used to listen to Soft Machine and Back Door ... with the 'gone too soon', Ron Aspery on saxes. This is fabulously recorded. A great moody piece. Excellent.

Subtle use of percussion and mellow/haunting backing to create a great backdrop for that very soulful melody - definitely feeling this! Oozes emotion - you've nailed that moment of solitude here. Excellent track.
