singer/songwriter/guitarist/solo act. Seamlessly melding country, blues, and folk
Jamey Darnold is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/ solo act originally from the banks of the Mississippi river town of Burlington, Ia. He has released to his credit 13 full length albums that seamlessly meld country, blues, and folk styles spanning from 2004's "Burlington Bound.. a railroad town" to 2023's "The Running River". Lyrics
MIDWESTERN J.Darnold I've seen the desert sands Been through, beautiful lands But I finally made a plan I've Seen some mountain tops So long, since I've been up That's where, I make my stand To be, a Mid, western Man No one tells, me what to do Never over, until it's all through Through, with all those plans To be, a Mid, western man North, east, West and south Those places they like to shout all about them Been near some oceans too So many things a man can do Did all that, and then I ran To be, a Mid, western Man Winter long, you feel, you exposed Where you go, from here, you don't know So you do, what you can it's the place, you grew up You drank, that silver cup You always, loved that land your a Mid, western Man

Sounds great Jamey. Really like the new additions. Pads out the vocals and adds a mysteriousness to the song that really fits well. From one midwesterner to another...Kudos on a job well done!

So many entries on this challenge are saying that their favourite place is where they live now. I like that. Contentment is what its about. Lovely song - pure and simple. Great vocal Jamey, heartfelt tune.
