Story behind the song
I started recording Ive Been Waiting for a Love Like This around 2018 and only recent got back to it. My original intent was to get an early R.E.M. sound, without the mumbling. 12 string electric over an acoustic foundation. I recorded the original 12 string intro and then laid down two acoustic and a 12 string electric, bass before the recording got side tracked. I brought it back to life and Gary added the fills & lead breaks. The most crucial part for me is he had to record the crunchier guitar that is absolute the glue that is the counter too my 12 string electric. It was the missing ingredient. The buffalo wing sauce to the wings.
