Story behind the song
A great song from The Beatles second album...in the UK the LP was called 'With The Beatles' and had the now famous 'Half Shadow' photograph of the Beatles on the cover. The Beatles 'struggled' to record this song ...dozen or more takes. Paul was never happy with it. I've not 'struggled' with it as such... my version is purposely 'sloppy' and raw sounding...a one take recording.

Great production on the instruments, love the bass working its around the song, what I loved about this song was the bass and drums , Beatles!

So very beautiful, David. Great vocals as always. Wonderful music you have played with much feeling. Thank You, for asking about my recording. Well, I have moved to a new location and it took much money. I still have to purchase a few cables, maybe a new soundboard, another table, new headphones before I can record my new songs. It all takes time and money.

Not a Beatles song that I'm that familar with but what I'm hearing this is brilliant David. You fit their style so well. Really enjoyed this track. Played and sung superbly.

I'd forgotten all about this song, not heard it played in years. Had no idea it posed such a problem for them, very interested to hear that. This is a great version, love your harmonies and guitar work.

Imagine my surprise to hear that The Beatles had difficulty in recording this one. Who knew. Paul wasn't happy still after over a dozen takes? I thought their version was quite good. Not as good as this obviously, but quite good indeed. Love the album cover too. I'll bet they'll nick that right square in a minute. Don't show it to 'em. That's it. They'll use it. Remember I told you so.
