Dark Walker

I've worked as a blues singer, saxophonist, harmonica player for over 50 years. I've made three solo albums. I write my own lyrics and melodies. I love to rock!

Actually After playing blues and rock' n roll most of my life. I branched out and started taking jobs on cruise ships playing deep house. After that, I became aware Of the other musical styles that fit the way I play. Trip Hop, Chill Hop, Low Fi... after being told that I could not practice my saxophone in our apartment I began playing an electronic wind instrument. Using Logic Pro X I discovered I could play guitar sounding solos on this instrument. My first big influence was Jimi Hendrix so for me this was somewhat of an epiphany! I also was influenced by the movie scores In the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Now I have everything I need to create right in the comfort of my own home. I still go on tours but I have another side the bands I play with know nothing about, The Dark Walker! Oh, I'm playing almost all the sounds on the Dark Walker songs on an electronic wind instrument it's only the drums I need help with.

Story behind the song

Over the distant mountaintops, Fujin and Raijin are riding on black clouds, as they sweep through the valley the winds of the eight directions swirling around them when they speak the mountains echo there bellowing resound. Thunder brakes the earth shakes and quakes as they whisper and laughingly tell a story that cannot be expressed with mere words only with sound and feel. With the spell woven they both glide back over the mountaintops and vanish out over the sea. Fujin and Raijin will always return! End

This music was created using elements of modern electronic music but differs greatly in its execution and concept. The blues is in the melody and the solo is constructed from blues and jazz scales. That is why it is called Blues House.
It is my Intention to find new avenues for improvisation. I have listened to a lot of Deep House, hip hop and most music that is or came from EDM. What I found missing is the soloist. Often good singers, rap or keyboardist playing repetitious melody lines
I find it interesting that after creating this music over the last years that I have failed to hear anything like it anywhere.
I am at a loss to understand why no one solos anymore. The soloist tells deep emotional variations of the obvious melody. I'm putting the Blues, Rock, and Jazz into EDM music, why you may ask? Because I hear it!
